Beaphar Anti-Myiasis (Ivermectin 0.05%, skin spray, solution for rabbits and guinea pigs to reduce the risk on Myiasis (maggot disease).
Myiasis in rabbits and guinea pigs is mainly caused by faeces or urine becoming stuck at the bottom of the animal. This attracts flies that lay eggs. The maggots from the eggs eat through the skin and can cause blood poisoning or infections, which can kill the animal within 24 hours. Please note: this product kills the eggs and maggots of the fly that causes Myiasis; not the adult fly.

Active substance: Ivermectin 0.5 mg/ml.
Instructions
Use of Anti-Myiasis is recommended during the period when the blue-green blowfly is active. Depending on the weather conditions, this is usually April to November. If you notice maggots on the animal, you should contact the vet immediately.
Remove any feces and ensure good hygiene in the cage. Spray the correct amount (see table) on the bottom of the animal. Start under the tail / between the hind legs. Then from the tail to the middle of the back. Bathing can reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
Dosage:
Body weight in kg ► Number of sprays
0.5 – 1.0 ► Spray 5 times
1.0 – 1.5 ► Spray 7x
1.5 – 3.0 ► Spray 9x
> 3.0 ► Spray 15 times
During the period that the blue-green ly is active, treat monthly (depending on weather conditions, usually April to November). Do not repeat the treatment within 4 weeks.
Storage advice
Store at room temperature, in original packaging in a dry, dark and well-ventilated place.
